Friendliness is Next to Godliness

We've all heard the expression 'Cleanliness is next to godliness.' But an equally important concept is that FRIENDLINESS is next to godliness. When we are friendly we initiate loving relationships with people around us and express our willingness to share time, energy, thoughts, and dreams with those around us in a way that could better all of our lives. In it says for a man to have friends he must show himself friendly.

Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly...

So all of us should have the wisdom to recognize that good relationships can begin with us. When we reach out to others and invite them into our lives it gives an opportunity for new friendships.

A good place to start would be recognizing that friendship can start with us and to reach out to those around us in a spirit of love, honor, and kindness.
